Purple Colour Day

Purple is the highest colour in the visible spectrum. This colour is known as one of the "cool" colours. It has a very calming effect on us and is, therefore, very helpful for those people experiencing sleep difficulties or stress. To make the students aware to purple colour Purple Colour Day was celebrated at school on 4th Feb, 2010. Students actively participated in Purple Colour Day celebration.

Every student was in a Purple coloured dress. Some children brought purple coloured objects like toys (dolls, cars, balls etc.). Some children brought purple coloured flowers. Objective of Purple Colour Day celebration was the recognition of purple colour for tiny tots. Classrooms were decorated with purple coloured buntings, drawings, paintings prepared by children and various objects.

The students prepared purple colour by mixing red and blue poster paints and enjoyed this activity alot. All the teachers showed the purple coloured objects to tiny tots within the school environment and then students were asked to recognize purple coloured objects and they named various objects according to their knowledge.

The purpose of celebration with education was fulfilled.
